“At WOW!, we’re always informing our visitors about the importance of play for children, and it’s important for adults, too! Play helps to reduce stress and contributes to overall well-being. We’re thrilled to open up the Museum to adults in the community and give them an opportunity to be creative, explore, and socialize. Our goal is to host 100 guests and raise $10,000 to support a new community art garden at the Museum. This new garden space will enable families to explore art, nature, and imaginative play together,” said Jennifer Hinderliter, Executive Director, WOW! Children’s Museum.

CenterStage’s Tapestry Theatre is a 501 c3 non-profit organization. We cast young actors with special needs in lead roles, and peer mentor actors as understudies and support. By cultivating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive community, we ensure everyone has fun experiencing the magic of theatre. Our participants discover talents they never knew they had, make connections with people who have diverse interests and abilities, and form long-lasting friendships. By challenging societal perceptions and showcasing everyone’s strengths, we continue to embrace our philosophy of “Applauding All Abilities!”.

Tapestry Theatre has had much success in its four short years. We produced "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown," in its 2012 inaugural year, "Annie, Jr." in 2013, Bye Bye Birdie in 2014 and Seussical, Jr. with It’s A Wonderful Life: A Radio Play in 2015. We have grown significantly in the numbers of actors participating every year and NOW it is time for us to grow again and offer year round programming. Programming that may include additional theatre and music classes. We also need to look beyond the volunteer only model into the realm of paid staffing.

On Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the First Congregational Church in Boulder, we are having our 2nd Annual Musical Revue Fundraiser. The Fundraiser features two performances at 1:00pm and again at 6:00pm and includes food receptions either before or after the shows. Please help us reach our goals of evolving Tapestry Theatre.

On April 21, 2015, the City of Boulder enacted an ordinance allowing the sale of Fresh Produce and Cottage Foods from residences in the City of Boulder. People who are interested in learning more about the rules for these sales should read the City’s Guide for Cottage Foods and Fresh Produce Sales, which can be found at this link: https://www-static.bouldercolorado.gov/docs/Guide_BAP_Tips_Boulder_Cottage_Foods_and_Fresh_Produce_Ordinance-1-201505271420.pdf

This Guide lives on the “Sales Tax” and “Local Foods” pages of the City’s website. Producers who wish to sell Cottage Foods or Fresh Produce from their residences must apply for a sales tax license (a one-time $25 fee) and comply with applicable City and State rules regarding fresh produce and cottage foods production.

So in the words of the inimitable Barbara Hyde: NOW is the TIME to……
Consider growing enough produce to sell some.
Get those bees and chickens working!
Look for the canning jars you put away so long ago.
Apply for your sales tax license, and start selling your home grown product!
Champion Windows of Ft.
