Farmers Market coming to Historic Downtown Louisville
Saturdays starting May 17
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Louisville, Colorado.The first day of the new Louisville Farmers Market will be on Saturday, May 17, 2008. Set in Historic Downtown Louisville at the corner of Front and Walnut Streets, the weekly market will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday from May 17 through October 25, 2008.
The market will feature foods from local Colorado farms and growers including vegetables, fruits, cut flowers, herbs, teas, bread, wine and other local products.

Voted 3rd Best Place to Live in 2007 by Money magazine, Louisville is ready for its own market, in part because its residents are not traveling to other farmers markets. “We are a growing community with a need for a Saturday market. Everyone I talk to is very excited, “ says Kelly Williams market manager. “The support and enthusiasm from the city, DBA, town and local businesses have been overwhelming. Everyone wants to know what they can do to help. The Art Underground, which is adjacent to the market site, has even scheduled drop-in art classes during market hours to provide a great experience for the kids while parents shop the market,” Williams explains.

The Saturday Louisville Farmers Market will be a quality destination for healthy, local produce and food. A grand opening is planned for Saturday, June 28 and will include market bag give-away, a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the mayor, and other exciting events.
