The sequel to Capparella’s novel, The Coalpicker & Tinny Boy, this new novel finds Francis Anthony Solimine, “Tinny,” looking to avenge the death of his grandfather—his “Stolen Blood.” Encouraged by his Italian mother to be a Roman Catholic priest, Tinny, a former musical prodigy, instead infiltrates the international mob and marries the New York Don’s beautiful daughter. Tinny becomes obsessed when he learns that his in-laws have poisoned his beloved grandfather in order to steal his thriving real estate empire.
Capparella’s stylistic composition seeks to take readers on a gripping international journey from the Bronx, New York into antediluvian Sicily, as Tinny masterminds a series of daring vendettas (all the while leading a double life) and systematically seeks out those responsible (The Black Hand) for his grandfather’s death, who are all members of secret underworld societies.
Tinny the man, notwithstanding, after an emotional dialogue with his beloved Mamma, with tears in his luminous eyes, very close to breaking down emotionally, he told his magnificent Italian Mamma how much he loved her and sadly said goodbye.
