Broomfield County Republicans “Light a Fire” at Annual Lincoln Day Dinner.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Broomfield, CO April 26, 2009: Just under 200 Broomfield County Republicans and state GOP dignitaries are “on fire” following last night’s spirited Lincoln Day Dinner. The annual event is the county GOP’s fund raiser for the year and the unofficial starting gun for Republican activities in the county. It was held at the well-appointed and staffed Chateaux at Fox Meadows banquet facility, 13600 Xavier Ln.
Organizers surpassed their goal of energizing the party faithful. Featured speakers at the event rallied attendees around the need to re-double efforts to educate and explain the importance of Republican Values (see next page) to Broomfield County voters. That need was eloquently expressed by former U.S. Congressman and event M.C. Bob Beauprez and State GOP Chairman Dick Wadhams. Aurora City Councilman Ryan Frazier raised the temperature in the room with his call for meaningful solutions to an array of current challenges. Denver attorney and KHOW Radio conservative talk show host Dan Caplis detailed the need to explain what the GOP stands for and how the party’s core beliefs and common sense solutions impact the voters of Broomfield, the state and the country.
“I think it’s safe to say we lit a fire tonight,” said Broomfield GOP County Chair Erich Feigel at the end of the evening. “But we accomplished a lot more than just getting people fired up. We raised awareness of the need to re-dedicate ourselves and our party to clearly explaining how we can best serve the people who pay taxes and elect candidates to represent them in the halls of power.”For photos of the event click HERE.
