Bullied for over two years in middle school, local teen, Maya Claridge, has decided to give back to the community in her Bullied to Bold tour.  Claridge travels to schools throughout Colorado speaking to students about bullying, sharing her experience with bullying and inspiring kids to overcome it and work together toward change.

Claridge made an appearance on Colorado & Company last Friday to promote the tour and the release of her new single hit, entitled, PUT IT DOWN, a song she wrote and recorded to accompany the tour and remind kids that they can put down their fear and their pain and rise about being bullied.

PUT IT DOWN is available on iTunes.  The more downloads it gets, the more publicity for the Bullied to Bold tour, so please show your support to end bullying in our schools by visiting this link and downloading the song today.

PUT IT DOWN by Maya Claridge

Booked in many schools throughout the metro area, the response from both teachers and students has been overwhelming.  A Silver Hills Middle School 6th grade teacher said, "Maya is amazing and the impact she has had on our students was incredible.  I want her to come back and speak to the 6th graders every year."  Another teacher told us that Maya's presentation was "better than any anti-bullying group we have brought into the school thus far."  Students actually break in tears while she is speaking.  "Maya opens her presentation with a video that is so real, it choked me up," said one 6th grade student.  "Her message is powerful," a school counselor told us.
