Lafayette, Colorado - WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) announced today upcoming events, programs, and activities at the Museum for the month of February. All events are included with Museum admission.
WOW! Craft Club & Photo Portraits – February 2nd
Time: 11:00am-1:00pm
Create a special Valentine’s Day keepsake featuring your little one! Stop by the WOW! Craft Club to make your own pirate or princess dress up costume featuring hats, maps, wands and telescopes. Then participate in a free portrait sitting and receive a Valentine’s Day photo magnet courtesy of Jodi Ellen Photography. Craft Club and photo magnet included with admission.
Self Portrait Workshop – February 16th
Time: 11:00am-1:00pm
Work alongside visiting illustrator Joe LeDosquet and use paint, watercolors and stencils to draw a picture of yourself. Donate your portrait to the Museum and see it featured in an upcoming art show. Great for all ages!
Chinese New Year Celebration – February 18th
Time: 11:00am
Celebrate the Year of the Snake with a special Chinese New Year Lion Dance performance by the Shaolin Hung Mei Kung Fu Association. Chinese New Year crafts also available in WOW!’s Art Room while supplies last. All included with Museum admission.
February Discovery Days – February 19th & February 20th
Time: 10:00am-1:00pm
This month’s theme: Colorado Weather
Discover your inner scientist! Drop-in and explore our monthly informal hands-on science sessions. This month, we’re learning about weather and wind in Colorado. Activities are open for exploration from 10:00am-1:00pm and are included with your Museum admission.
