The Front Range Community College-Boulder County Campus graduates who walked across the stage at the Vance Brand Civic Auditorium on Wednesday were a diverse group:

•From 17-year-old Tara Anderson, Associate of Arts, who found FRCC to be "a time to learn tools to overcome my challenges," to 74-year-old Viki McKinney, Associate of General Studies, who "conquered general studies and wonder what's next in my life. Theology is calling my name."

•From self-proclaimed introvert Annie Seipel, Associate of Science and Associate of Arts, who learned to embrace teamwork and leadership on the way to selfless service, to Gary Giovino, Associate of Arts with History designation, who "tried college in 1977 but failed miserably" and then resolved never to "try" again. "I didn't 'try' for a 4.0," he said. "I earned it."

•From Jeff Brewer, Associate of Science, who "discovered I was more capable than I was aware of" and is headed off to the University of Colorado to major in environmental engineering with an emphasis in physics, to Jonathan Saam, Associate of Science, who became a "voice of veterans" who appreciated that "for all of us returning, this college has been there of us. Thank you."

•From Michelle Romersheuser, Associate of Arts with Business Designation, who recognized it takes "passion, perfection, people power, and perseverance" to succeed, to the 30 Precision Machining students who could not be at Commencement, Linda Curran, campus vice president, reported, "because they all had jobs before they graduated."
