On Friday, Sept. 20, 2014, women golfers from Longmont attended a charity tournament at Broken Tee Golf course benefitting “Golf 4 the disabled.”

Golf for the Disabled makes the single rider carts available to golf courses who request them for use by disabled or limited mobility players in their area. Anyone with limited mobility may use them as the carts are allowed on the tee boxes and on the greens. Anyone can call and reserve a cart, receive brief instructions on how to operate the cart, and use it when confronted with temporary or permanent mobility issues.

The Longmont courses, Sunset, Ute Creek, and Twin Peaks, have been supportive of this charity and each course has single rider golf carts that are available for anyone that needs it.

Peggy Bauer, Mary Kopman and Barb Huner, all of Longmont, won first place in the women’s division.
