Lafayette, Colorado - WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) announced today upcoming events, programs, and activities at the Museum for the month of January. All events are included with Museum admission.
Tactile Tuesday – Every Tuesday in January
Time: 10:00am-1:00pm
Visitors have the chance to work with homemade rice clay and a variety of clay tools, cookie cutters and rolling pins. Great for toddlers!
Watercolor Wednesday – Every Wednesday in January
Time: 10:00am-1:00pm
Visitors have the chance to explore painting with a variety of pigments and painting tools. Great for toddlers!
WOW! Craft Club – January 5th
Time: 11:00am-1:00pm
Topic: Let it Snow
Make your own paper snowflake garland, tissue paper snowman, or winter wonderland collage. Practice cutting, gluing and tracing techniques while celebrating the snowy season. Craft Club is included with Museum admission.
January Discovery Days – January 15th & January 16th
Time: 10:00am-1:00pm
This month’s theme: Music & Sound
Discover your inner scientist! Drop-in and explore our monthly informal hands-on science sessions. This month, we’re learning about music and sound! Activities are open for exploration from 10:00am-1:00pm and are included with your Museum admission. This is a LEAP into Science program, offered in partnership with the Lafayette Public Library.
Self Portrait Workshop – January 21st
Time: 11:00am-1:00pm
Learn to create your own self portrait using pencils, paints and hand held mirrors in our Docent led workshop. When you're finished, help us celebrate the diversity of Lafayette and hang your finished piece in the WOW! gallery. Workshop included with Museum admission.
