A local Colorado resident, Suzy Hawbaker, has developed a project called One Small Change which encourages people to make small changes in their household which will lead to a larger environmental impact.

"I think this is a great way to build a community of people all working towards a common goal of being green in the New Year" says Suzy.

The project is sponsored by Hip Mountain Mama a local online business which specializes in selling products that are hip and natural for babies, kids, and mamas. In addition to selling environmentally friendly products, Suzy is passionate about educating others about sustainability and passionate about building community.

The One Small Change project was designed to challenge each of you to make 1 change each month leading up to Earth Day (April 22, 2010). It can be small or it can be huge, but all they ask is that you decide on something you will do to make a positive green impact and follow through with it.

If everyone makes 4 changes between January and April, this can have a huge effect.
