Leonor E. Toro of Boulder has been awarded a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in recognition of outstanding work with young children. This accomplishment constitutes a important step in her lifelong learning process and in attaining excellence as an early childhood professional.
The credential was awarded by the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington, DC, which represents the early education profession. CDA is the only major national effort to improve childhood education and care by evaluating and recognizing the skills of individuals providing care. CDA is included in childcare licensing regulations throughout the U.S. As part of the CDA assessment process, every candidate for the CDA credential is observed working with young children by an early childhood professional. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to work with families to develop children's physical, emotional, intellectual and social capabilities in a safe and healthy learning environment.

While celebrating this occasion with her husband and her friends, Leonor is looking forward to continue on her path and enjoying her work with young children.
