In need of a good New Year's Resolution? Or maybe you already decided  you want to do more volunteer work in 2011, but don't know where to start. CareConnect is in need  of volunteers for our direct service programs for seniors and adults with disabilities throughout Boulder County. Call 303-772-2262 or visit our website if you or someone you know is interested in volunteering with either of these programs:

Medical Mobility: Provides volunteer-escorted rides to medical appointments. Flexible hours so you can choose when you want to volunteer. Our partnership with Special Transit allows us to offer mileage reimbursement for drivers. Volunteers must be over 21 and have their own vehicle.

Carry-Out Caravan: Volunteers shop for and deliver groceries each week. Two locations at the Safeway in Boulder and in Longmont. The program takes place one day a week and volunteers can choose if they would like to shop the orders, deliver or do both. Delivery drivers must be over 21 and have their own vehicle. Shoppers of any age are welcome!

Fix-It: Provides minor home repairs and grab bar installation. The Fix-It program also manages the City of Boulder IceBusters program and is in need  of volunteer snow shovelers to shovel for a neighbor after a snowfall.
