Lafayette, Colorado - WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) announced today upcoming events, programs, and activities at the Museum for the month of March.  All events are included with Museum admission.


WOW! Craft Club – March 2nd  

Time: 11:00am-1:00pm

Topic: Delightful Dinosaurs

All ages will enjoy using stickers, stamps, and stencils to create prehistoric landscapes. Older kids can try their hand at paper bag dinosaur puppets. Get creative with scales, spikes and teeth! Craft Club is included with Museum admission.


FamilySong Music Class with Kristin McLean – March 8th

Time: 11:00am-11:30am

Join local music teacher Kristin McLean for an upbeat, world music class for families with children ages birth through 5 years. Music class is included with Museum admission.


McTeggart Irish Dancers Performance – March 16th   

Time: 11:00am

Get into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit with a high energy Irish dance performance by the McTeggart Irish Dancers.  This special performance is included with Museum admission.


Sketchbook Studies: Exploring Nature Workshop– March 16th  

Time: 11:00am-1:00pm

Build and bind your own sketchbook and use the natural world as inspiration to practice tracing techniques, watercolors, calligraphy and the art of sketching still life pictures. Experiment with layering images, colors and stamps to render beautiful collage sketchbook entries. Study the work of renowned naturalist, and meet local experts on Colorado wildlife. This is an all ages workshop--great for children and adults alike!


March Discovery Days – March 19th & March 20th  

Time: 10:00am-1:00pm each day

This month’s theme: Big & Small

Discover your inner scientist! Drop-in and explore our monthly informal hands-on science sessions. This month, we’re learning about size, both little and big!  Activities are open for exploration from 10:00am-1:00pm and are included with Museum admission.


NanoDays at WOW! – March 26th to March 28th

Time: 10:00am-1:00pm each day

Join us for NanoDays, celebrating the science of the small!  Explore how to make things invisible, investigate new nano products and materials, and launch nano particles with an air cannon! Organized by NISE Net, NanoDays is a nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering and its potential impact on the future.  NanoDays activities are included with Museum admission.
