Lafayette, Colorado – WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) today announced upcoming events and programs at the Museum for the month of March. Unless otherwise noted, all listed events and programs are included with Museum admission.
Yoga for Kids – Every Wednesday in March
Join us for a fun, encouraging beginner level yoga class for kids of all ages (toddlers too)! In this 30-minute session, kids will learn basic poses to create healthy energy, offer physical challenge, and inspire your imagination. No mat necessary, just bring a smile and wear comfortable shorts or pants. Parents are welcome to join too! Included with Museum admission.
Integral Steps Presents Music & Movement – Friday, March 9th
High energy, exciting and fun, this program allows children to dance and play through a combination of music, movement, biology, and art! This program is presented by Emma Shubin of Integral Steps and is included with Museum admission.
Sensory Friendly Playtime – Sunday, March 11th
Sensory Friendly Playtime is a low sensory event for children with autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders. WOW! will limit admission to 20 families, turn down sounds and lights, and provide adaptive equipment to offer a safe and fun experience for all! McTeggart Irish Dancers – Sunday, March 18th
Get into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit with an engaging dance performance by the McTeggart Irish Dancers, Colorado's Premier Irish Dance Academy. Performance is included with Museum admission.
Camp Little Tooth Dental Program – Saturday, March 24th
Learn how to take care of your teeth with Dr. Raelene Fulford DDS! Join Dr. Raelene of Camp Little Tooth Pediatric Dentistry for an interactive oral hygiene program featuring crafts, story time, healthy snacks, and a special appearance by Dr. Raelene's therapy dog Montana. All activities are included with Museum admission.
Animals of the Wizarding World – Monday, March 26th
Did you know that some of the fantastical beasts from popular books and movies are real life creatures? During this educational program, our friends at Nature's Educators will introduce you to raptors, reptiles, insects, arachnids, and amphibians featured in the stories! Learn about their role in the story and also their habitat, diet, and natural history. Presentation is included with Museum admission.
NanoDays – Wednesday, March 28th
Join us for NanoDays, celebrating the science of the small! Investigate new nano products and materials, make nano crafts to keep, and launch nano particles with an air cannon. Organized by NISE Network, NanoDays is an annual, nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering and their impact on society. NanoDays activities are included with Museum admission.
