Lafayette, Colorado – WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) today announced upcoming events and programs at the Museum for the month of October. Unless otherwise noted, all listed events and programs are included with Museum admission.
Yoga for Kids – Every Wednesday at 4:00pm
Children of all ages (toddlers too!) are invited to join us for a fun, encouraging beginner level yoga class! In this 30-minute session, children will learn basic poses to create healthy energy, offer physical challenge, and inspire your imagination. No mat necessary, just bring a smile and wear comfortable shorts or pants. Parents are welcome to join too! Included with Museum admission.
WOW! on Tap Fundraiser – Friday, October 5th
Come play like a kid again at the WOW! on Tap Fundraiser! Check out WOW!’s exhibits in new and exciting ways, visit our beer (and cider) garden, enjoy nibbles from local restaurants, play games and win prizes, participate in a LEGO® Battle with Play-Well TEKnologies, create a custom beer koozie and more! All proceeds benefit WOW!’s educational and hands-on exhibits and programs. This event is for grown-ups ages 21+.

Littlest Learners Class – Tuesday, October 9th and Wednesday, October 17th
Time: 9:00am (October 9th class); 4:00pm (October 17th class)
In this class, infants and toddlers will explore the world using their senses. Young children will have the opportunity to explore their touch, smell, visual, and auditory senses through our carefully thought-out and planned sensory stations. We will use items like soundbite buttons, memory foam, and colored flashlights to entice and engage different sensorial interactions. Littlest Learners classes are designed specifically for children ages 0-3 years and their caregivers. Classes are included with Museum admission!
Dance Front Class – Thursday, October 11th and Thursday, October 25th
Join Miss Kathe from The Dance Front for a sample of her “First Dance” class for ages 2-4. Class includes fun with puppets, streamers, songs, and of course, dancing! Parent participation encouraged. The Dance Front is a new dance studio located in downtown Louisville, offering classes for students aged 2 years to adults. Included with Museum admission.
Integral Steps – Friday, October 12th
High energy, exciting and fun, this program allows children to dance and play through a combination of music, movement, biology, and art! This program is presented by Emma Shubin of Integral Steps and is included with Museum admission.
Know Your Guts – Tuesday, October 16th
Your body is an amazing thing! It has many different functions that you can’t see, especially in your stomach. Join Gini, our Director of Early Childhood Education, and explore the way bile breaks down fat in this fun, kid friendly activity! Can’t attend the program? WOW!’s Halloween Party – Friday, October 26th
WOW! is throwing a Halloween bash and you're invited! Come dressed in costume and enjoy ghostly crafts, spooky science experiments, ghoulish games, tasty treats provided by Happy Family, magical giveaways, playtime, and more! Box dinners are available for purchase in advance with event tickets.

Halloween Science – Tuesday, October 30th
In celebration of Halloween, participate in a spooky science experiment by making “poison” apples. In this fun, hands-on, kid-friendly experiment, we’ll practicing mixing potions, pouring them, and watching our apples go from sweet to poisonous! Costumes encouraged! Science program is included with Museum admission.
