Boulder County CareConnect (BCCC) invites you to attend the 3rd annual Senior Law Day, on August 11, 2012 from 8am to 1pm at the Plaza Hotel Conference Center in Longmont, CO.

Senior Law Day brings together accomplished and respected professionals to present informative seminars for seniors and caregivers. This state-wide series, presented by the Colorado Bar Association CLE, will hold separate events in five counties across Colorado, including Boulder County. Senior Law Day is Colorado’s only conference dedicated to providing legal information specifically for seniors. Seminars will cover critical topics such as long-term care insurance, reverse mortgages, fiduciaries, financial safety, hiring caregivers, and much more.

Boulder County is aging faster than the rest of Colorado, according to a survey conducted by Boulder County Area Agency on Aging (BCAAA). BCAAA predicts that over 100,000 Boulder County residents will be over the age of 60 by 2030. The number of seniors in the United States is projected to increase to 71.5 million by 2030, representing nearly 20% of the national population. Consequently there is a growing need, locally and nationally, for specialized legal advice about aging-related issues.

Registration for this free event ends on August 6th, 2012. Call (303) 441-1685 to register, or go online to www.seniorlawday.com and click on Boulder County. Every participant will receive a free copy of the 2012 Edition Senior Law Handbook.

BCCC is a non-profit organization celebrating 40 years of promoting the security, comfort, and independence of seniors and adults with disabilities. Volunteers provide access to transportation, nutrition, and home maintenance while alleviating isolation for seniors and adults with disabilities. BCCC also runs the Boulder County R.S.V.P chapter, which connects older adults with meaningful and engaging volunteer work in their own communities.
