On Saturday, October 22, World Singing Day is happening on all seven continents, where people get together in communities around the world and sing together to celebrate our common humanity.
In Boulder, the local group Face will be opening for the 2nd annual Sing Along Boulder at 11:30 am and then lead the public in the singalong of popular songs (from current hits to the Beatles and Sinatra) from 12 to 1:30 pm in front of the old Boulder Courthouse at Pearl Street. There were over 500 people last year. We’re aiming for over 2,000 this year.
Sing Along Loveland will also take place on Oct. 22, from 3–4:30 pm at the People’s Market in downtown Loveland.
This is where events will be happening on the seven continents:
1. Antarctica (New Zealand’s research station at Scott Base)
2. Asia (Malaysia, numerous cities in India)
3. Australia (Melbourne, Perth; also Palmerston North, New Zealand)
4. Africa (Maputo, Mozambique;  Dar es Salaam, Tanzania)
5. Europe (Helsingborg, Sweden)
6. North America (Boulder, Loveland, Los Angeles, Boston, Toronto)
7. South America (Rio de Janeiro)
Now, more than ever, we need experiences that bring us together as fellow humans beings, not tear us apart. That’s what World Singing Day aims to do.
We hope you will join us.
