Lafayette, Colorado – WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) is pleased to announce that the Museum has received a $10,000 grant from The Jay and Rose Phillips Family Foundation of Colorado. The grant supports the successful implementation of the Museum’s Learning Framework, by providing general operating support. Created by WOW!’s Executive Director and a team of early childhood education specialists, the Learning Framework will guide future exhibit and program development along with WOW!’s work with families in the community.
“We are committed to strengthening early childhood development and believe that informal educational experiences offered at the Museum play a unique role in a child’s development. Since late 2017, we have updated our mission, vision and values and clearly defined our educational philosophy. We created a Learning Framework to guide all future program and exhibit development; and we hired a Director of Early Childhood Education to weave this educational philosophy into everything we do. This grant from The Jay and Rose Phillips Family Foundation of Colorado will support the transition as we align our Museum exhibits with the new Learning Framework and continue to deliver fun and creative learning experiences for children and families,” said Jennifer Hinderliter, Executive Director.
