LCA INTRODUCES NEW ‘TASTE OF LONGMONT’ &
THE MARK DIAMOND TRIO FOR
ANNUAL “ART, WINE & JAZZ” FUNDRAISER

Longmont, CO – The Longmont Council for the Arts introduces an all-new event, “Art under the Stars and Taste of Longmont featuring live music by the Mark Diamond Trio.”

The outdoor and indoor event will be held on Saturday, August 29th from 6-9pm in Front Range Community College’s tented courtyard, and indoor in the community rooms. An extensive auction features gifts and gift certificates, mountain getaways, sporting events, spa services, fine art, artisan jewelry, crafts and much more. All proceeds benefit the non-profit Longmont Council for the Arts and its 12 programs and local events.

This year’s fundraiser for the arts will feature savory samples of appetizers, entrees and desserts from 10 area restaurants and catering companies, an extensive wine tasting from a dozen wine vendors, and beer from Left Hand Brewery. Topping off the event will be the Mark Diamond Trio, a Colorado favorite who has played everywhere from Red Rocks to the Fox Theater.

Participating restaurants include:
• Terroir New American Cuisine
• Sakura Japanese Cuisine
• Sun Rose Café
• Kho’s Asian Bistro
• Dicken’s Tavern
• Capers Italian Bistro and Tap
• Cooking with Jazz Catering
• Pinocchio’s Simply Incredible Italian
• Buzz Coffee
• Sweet Betty Cupcakerie
• The Chocolate Sucker Artisan desserts
• Wine coordinated by PJs Wine and Spirits
• Left Hand Brewery

Proceeds from “Art under the Stars” benefit the programs and events of the Longmont Council for the Arts. Every year the LCA offers 12 regular programs that include the Muse Gallery, the Art Enthusiast news magazine, Longmont Studio Tour, Friday Afternoon Concerts, Longmont Film Society, granting programs, Artists in Residence for area schools and more, plus events like this October’s “A Letter from Vincent” by Dutch actor Klaas Hofstra, back by popular demand.

Tickets are on sale now. Please call 303-678-7869 to purchase or go online to www.artslongmont.org. Before August 15, get 1 for $35 or 2 tickets for $60. After, $40/one or $70/two tickets.
