This photograph of the "diamond ring" at the end of the total eclipse on August 21, 2017 was taken in Casper, Wyoming with a 600mm lens mounted on a Canon 1D Mark IV camera at 1/2000th sec., f5.6, ISO 1000. I am astounded to see the solar flares visible in the corona from a distance of 92,000,000 miles. What an experience! Warren Martin Hern
