REFRAIN
You’re forced to essay my desire
You did purport to be on fire
And erstwhile you find out the truth.
Pusillanimous and uncouth.
Pretending erudite assets
You charge with blight of bayonets.
Your verbiage…an avalanche!
And I believed, flailing a branch
Over a dried land of interstice
I trusted you, not once but twice.
How foolish, innocent I was
Your lithe lies were at my cause…
The polyglot worked out quite well
To mitigate our hearts from swell.
You walked away and didn’t look
Behind to see the dark Chinook.
Now you will feel the hurricane
And just for once you’ll ascertain
That justice’ love is turned to hate
It is no longer a debate!
You are peremptory and unctuous
And your remarks have left me anxious.
But I did grow, swallowed my pain
And truthful to myself remain.
From further words I will refrain.
FAVORITE THINGS
Waking in the morning alive
To the smell and sound of life
My children’s sweet, sleepy breath
Knowing I again avoided death.
A gentle breeze of goodwill
Sways love and care to fulfill
Needs for the ones without.
I wish for certainty, no doubt…
Pure rain drops on parched terrain
Thirst quenched for all those who remain
To pray in truth and pristine heart
For souls of others who depart.
A fair shake for all be equal
In rights and thoughts without sequel.
No rich, no richer, no poor, dead.
No torture, wars, for all who bled.
My favorite garden of different blooms
Fairies and magic of brides and grooms.
Babies of all sorts, loved and cherished,
Human or not, all saved not perished.
Freedom to speak, sing loud and clear
Food and a home for all loved and dear.
Rainbows of jasmine, rivers of sunrays
Blinding the evils and long for bad days
When hunger and death will all disappear
Heaven on Earth bathed in joy not in fear.
These are my favorite things I wish for,
While I’m hugged by my kids and pets I adore…
DOUBLY REDUNDANT
I swivel around and sink down
A new beginning for an old fossil
At 3 a.m. in the morning I circle around
Sandwiched between invited guests.
Violent explosions disappear from view
Clustered together and enclosed herewith.
Total extinction is a temporary reprieve,
Free of charge in a successful escape.
A baby calf in an awkward predicament
Very unique in a slippery slime,
I reflect back strangled to death,
Appreciated in value for illegal scam
We have nouns and verbs, our new recruits
Fellow colleagues to adjectives and adverbs
A hollow tube of old adage, merging together
In a double redundant for first priority.
Just irks my bone to hear deja vu, all over, again…so moronic...and triply redundant!

Good t hear from you. I enjoyed the pictures of your facility. How old are the kids now, Eve looks all grown up.
Nice job on achieving such diversity at your place, no easy task. I read one of your comments concerning providing services to low income families. We also have a "charity/scholarship" program that we call "Gratitude through Giving". It has been a challenge raising money for it. we're currently funding the training for one "special needs" boy, but getting donations isn't all that easy. if everyone in the membership gave 2 dollars a month we could cover the costs for one kid for a year. But even getting that is tough. The effort is worth it, hang in there.
The school over here is doing ok. We've been stable for a couple years now. The current economy isn't helping out, martial arts is still considered to be a luxury item. When times are hard, people will cut karate before they cut cable.
In general we're all happy and healthy, how about you??
Doing well and keeping busy. How is it with you and yours? Looks like you're still involved with the dance and martial arts. Do you still have the studio?

It makes me wonder what sort of "COMMUNITY" do we really have...blah, blah, blah...and no action.
