100th Anniversary for Boulder's Daughters of the American Revolution

Boulder –

100 years ago, on November 15, 1910, a small group of ardent, enthusiastic women gathered to form the Arapahoe Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.  100 years later, Arapahoe Chapter remains a dynamic organization of 170 members.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote patriotism, preserve American history, and support better education for our nation's children. Its members are descended from the patriots who won American independence during the Revolutionary War.

Arapahoe Chapter celebrated its 100th Anniversary at a luncheon at the Boulder Country Club with the Colorado Society Sons of the American Revolution Color Guard, the Mile High Drum and Fife Corps and a dramatic presentation from from First Lady of the Revolution Abigail Adams enactor, Beverly Garmany.  We were thrilled to receive Letters of Special Recognition and  Proclamations from U.S. Senator Mark Udall, Boulder Mayor Osborne, Longmont Mayor Baum, Louisville Mayor Sisk, Lafayette Mayor Phillips, and CU Chancellor Philip DiStephano.
