1st Annual 2008 Mark Simpson Golf Tournament

Mark Simpson, CU golf coach for almost 30 years, passed away from lung cancer two years ago. Mark went to HealthLinks Clinic during his cancer and his wife Valorie is working closely with HLC to put on the 1st Annual 2008 Mark Simpson Golf Tournament. Cancer survivor, Teddi Dingae is the inspiration and sponsor of the tournament.
WHEN: Sat., May 31
WHERE: Coal Creek Golf Course in Louisville
Proceeds go to HealthLinks Foundation to provide financial support, education and community outreach services to promote healthy, active survivorship for cancer patients and their families.
Throughout my 5 yr survivorship, I have benefited from the HLC programs of therapeutic exercise and support and as you know HLC is where I have the journal writing group, but... I'm not a golfer! LOL The point is, HLC does great work for all survivors from athletes like Mark to ordinary people like me. Golfers' lives are touched by cancer like everyone else's and the tournament is a great way for golfers to enjoy a game in memory and celebration of Mark and support a great cause.
Contact Trudy Turvey, HLC, 303.443.1937 and Teddi Dingae, survivor and sponsor, 970.669.5241 for info about tournament.
