Boulder Flatirons Rotary supports the Pocket Flag Project for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan

The Patriot Committee of the Arapahoe Chapter of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) has been involved with the Pocket Flag Project. “While we are educating people about the flag and patriotism, our objective is to get as many pocket flags as we can into the pockets of our troops who are on the front lines. We want them to know that we care and that we keep them in our hearts and our prayers.” The sixth box of 300 flags was sent on January 30, 3009 to LCDR Thomas Ramar, a Rotarian from Flatirons Rotary in Boulder, serving in Iraq. Flatirons Rotary has contributed both money and effort, folding flags in this project. for more info click
