Dental Aid Provides Free Care to Uninsured Children Dental Care Friday, February 1, 2013

Louisville, Colorado – On Friday, February 1st, Dental Aid will participate in Give Kids A Smile – a national day of free oral health care for uninsured children.  While Dental Aid provides reduced-fee dental care for low-income and uninsured Boulder residents every day, Give Kids A Smile is a great way for uninsured children to receive care that their families may not be able to afford.

Uninsured children 0-20 are eligible for free services during Give Kids A Smile.  Anyone interested in participating should call to make an appointment at one of Dental Aid’s clinics in Boulder, Louisville or Longmont.  Dental Aid’s clinics are open from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Dental Aid’s 2011 Give Kids a Smile day provided over $47,000 in free care to 181 children while performing 678 procedures.  The procedures performed ranged from initial exams and cleanings to applying sealants and filling small cavities.  Dental Aid also partnered with other local dental providers – referring children and teens to orthodontists, endodontists, and other dental specialists for free care during Give Kids A Smile.

Founded in 1974, Dental Aid is a private, nonprofit dental health care provider for low-income and uninsured Front Range residents with clinics in Boulder, Louisville and Longmont.  In 2012, Dental Aid provided 7,873 individual children and adults with high-quality, preventive and restorative dental care.
