IBMC Longmont College and Surrounding Campuses Raise $850 for Susan G. Komen Foundation

The Institute of Business & Medical Careers Encourages Students and Staff to Made a Difference During National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Institute of Business & Medical Careers in Fort Collins, CO; Greeley, CO; Longmont, CO and Cheyenne, WY joined in the the fight by raising over $850!

IBMC encouraged staff, faculty and students to become involved in the battle against this disease to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation through a variety of outreaches.

Fundraising and awareness events occurred through the following ways:

•     In Memory/In Honor “Ribbons” were sold for $1 on campus.
•     Jeans Days - Staff and students were allowed to pay $1 and wear jeans during four select days in the month.
•     Pink Poster Contest - Students were asked to create a PINK poster, which was displayed in all area student lounges.
•     Proud to Wear Pink Day - Students and staff were asked to wear pink and given the opportunity to win a variety of prizes.
