Shed Plans: Easy to Follow Plans That Save You Time and Money

Nothing beats great storage, that is what my wife keeps tells me. When we bought our house a few years back she went into all the rooms looking to see how much storage space there was. Although she did not do the same for my garage because it is now packed with "stuff" so I decided it was high time for my own storage shed plans in the back yard...

The important thing I wanted in this shed plans was to be able to get to my "stuff" with as little difficulty as possible. I did not want to have to take everything out to get to the stuff in the back, so I decided to design my shed with two sets of doors, in the front and in the back as well.

This added to the final expense and took a little bit longer to build but was worth the investment. There is nothing worse than needing something and not being able to get to it. With two set of doors I no longer had to worry about it.

Of course this limited where I could put the shed because most people put their shed right up to the property line but I needed to access both ends so I just turned it sideways. One important point to remember is the shed must be placed on a level surface or foundation.

You must also create a solid long lasting foundation. Depending on the size of your building, you might need to use a permanent foundation consisting of piers installed below grade level. And you might need to get a permit so check your local building codes inspector as well.

I'll tell you this my friend one of the best investments I have ever made was my backyard storage shed. I have lots of room in my garage now and when I need something, the easy access makes getting my hands on it no problem at all.
