The Web Academy now has WordPress lessons in Louisville

Learn why WordPress is becoming the go-to solution for small businesses across the world during a series of hands-on workshops given by the Web Design Academy in Louisville.

“The magic of WordPress is that small businesses can actually take over the management of their sites, while continuing to maintain a visually distinctive and interactive site,” said Jason Ackerman, president of the Academy.

The Academy now offers half-day courses on the platform on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 917 Front Street in downtown Louisville. The courses range from the introductory to courses suitable for web developers on customizing WordPress themes.

WordPress is now powering 14.7 percent of the top 1 million websites in the world, including those of large global businesses, and that number is growing every day, the company reported in its San Francisco conference in August. WordPress now accounts for 22 out of every 100 new active domain names in the U.S.

“Anyone who can manage a basic Windows program can learn to update WordPress sites,” Ackerman said. “It’s simply the most prudent move a small business can make in getting a solid return on investment on its web presence.”
