Nice control of the bright snow and dark mountain behind!  Are you using HDR for this?  How many shots do you normally shoot?  Excellent!  Jack Sasson

Jack - this is from a slide and about 11 years ago - so no HDR - when i shoot HDR - it is usually with 3 shots - unless i use the D700 which only allows for 1 f-stop changes and i shoot 5 and many times take the 1 - 3 and 5

Gregory - I just got a D200 (used) and am getting used to setting it up for multiple shots.  Really enjoying the sharpness of the Nikon lenses!

I just got a D7000 becuase it is so much easier for 3 shot HDR which i think work better than 5 - it allows 2 f-stops between exposures

Yeah, I was thinking how to do just that with the D200 - take 5 shots and throw out the middle exposures to get the -2, 0, +2 exposures.

I do that with the 700 - the problem is, for landscapes, the 5 exposures take more time and clouds move fast - I wish they would update the firmware but i don't think it will happen.

True but luckily I usually let clouds go fluffy!
