Change is happening.   After 22 years as Executive Director of the Voices For Children Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) agency, Marsha Caplan will retire on December 31, 2012.

Marsha came to VFC CASA in March of 1991 when a dedicated group of four remaining board members hired her because of her administrative skills.  They knew that in order to survive, the agency had to have a strong foundation – a working board with depth of leadership.  Together they created a culture of inspiring leaders and excellent service.  She was told by the then President, “I don’t want to hear any ‘non-profit whining.’ You tell us what you need and we’ll get it.”  And they have.

Over the years Marsha got to know many wonderful people in the community.  Voices For Children CASA volunteers – and she helped to train several hundred of them – are an incredible group of men and women. Marsha is very appreciative of he foundations, businesses, governments, and individual donors who have supported VFC CASA to assure that abused and neglected children have the CASA services they need.
