Boulder, CO, March 30, 2017 – Natural Capitalism Solutions and Alliance for Sustainable Colorado will host the 1st Annual Regenerative Future Summit, May 15-17, at the Sustainability, Energy and Environment Complex on the University of Colorado campus in Boulder.

Regenerative Capitalism is an approach designed to deliver prosperity on a healthy planet—a Regenerative Future ensures a thriving economy AND a thriving ecosystem. While our economic system has created enormous wealth for some, it has left others in extreme poverty and poor health, and has left our shared ecosystem teetering on the brink of destruction.

This is a rare opportunity to interact with many of the nation’s top experts and build the Regenerative Future movement: driving development through capital and leveraging entrepreneurial creativity for wellbeing.

The highly-participatory Summit will feature the major figures of the theory and practice of regenerative economics, from around the globe, including John Fullerton, founder and CEO of Capital Institute and author of the seminal book, Regenerative Capitalism; L. Hunter Lovins, founder, Natural Capitalism Solutions and co-author of Natural Capitalism; Bob Costanza, father of ecological economics, teacher and author; Kate Raworth, author of Doughnut Economics: Seven Ways to Think Like a 21st Century Economist and former senior researcher at Oxfam; Vince Siciliano, CEO of New Resource Bank; Donna Morton, founder & CEO, Change Finance; Randy Hayes, Director, Foundation Earth; Jenn Vervier, Director of Strategy & Sustainability, New Belgium Brewing; Maggie Fox, former CEO, Climate Reality Project; David Orr, Oberlin College; Stewart Wallis, Institute for Social Futures, Lancaster University; and many more.  The list of speakers and panelists can be found at the Summit website.

The Summit will explore three major topics: Local & Regional Economies, Regenerative Agriculture, and Capital in the Regenerative Economy. The Regenerative Future Summit will share new frameworks, develop new stories and start to build new movements.

Participants should come prepared for an interactive event, with dynamic, facilitated feedback between speakers, panelists and participants from morning breakouts-over-breakfast to plenary roundtables, facilitated breakout discussions, ending each day with informal conversations over dinner at Boulder’s many great restaurants.

In-person capacity is limited to 300. Summit plenary sessions will be live-streamed and there will be extensive, moderated online engagement through a community engagement platform and social media. Bloggers are welcome.

The Regenerative Future Summit is an opportunity to learn with the thought leaders who are defining the regenerative future, engage in plenaries and breakouts, shape the forward dialogue and craft the strategies, the narratives and movements for an economy in service to life.
