SUMMARY:2015 Sean May Memorial Run Scheduled for May 2, 2015
DESCRIPTION:The Seventh Annual Sean May Memorial Run/Walk will be held
  on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Barr Lake State Park in Brig
 hton, CO.  The run/walk is held every year to honor Sean May, a chief
  deputy district attorney with the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s
  Office who was shot to death in his backyard in 2008 when he was retu
 rning home from work.\nDuring his seven years of service in Adams Coun
 ty, May volunteered for the Child Victim Unit, where he pursued justic
 e for children who had been physically and/or sexually abused. May alw
 ays stressed the importance of acting responsibly, including treating 
 victims, the community, defendants and the courts with dignity and res
 pect.\nThe annual race is organized by the 17th Judicial District Acce
 ss to Justice Committee and the Adams/Broomfield Bar Association.  Th
 ere will be a 9-mile run, a 5K Individual or Family Fun Run/Walk, and 
 a Kids’ Fun Run.  Individual registration is $35/person until April
  12, 2015; $40/person from April 13-April 29, 2015; and $50/person on 
 race day.  Fees include entrance into Barr Lake State Park, race regi
 stration fee, race shirt, parking, entry into prize drawing and profes
 sional timing by Hallucination Sports.\nWe are hoping for 300 particip
 ants this year so we can raise $10,000.  Proceeds from the race will 
 benefit the 17th Judicial District Access to Justice programs such as 
 the Adams County Self Help Center, Broomfield County Self Help Center 
 and the 17th Judicial District Specialty Court programs (Adams County 
 Drug Court, Adams County Court for Veterans, Family Treatment Court, J
 uvenile Treatment Court, Truancy court program), and Sean May’s fami
