SUMMARY:Pops on Ice: Rock Through the Ages
DESCRIPTION:Champion United States figure skaters will perform to live
  orchestral performances of progressive rock music at the University o
 f Colorado Ice Arena. Stephen Chasman (Edges and Dreams), 7k Skating A
 cademy and Mountain Edge Ice Arena are partnering up with Intermezzo A
 cademy of Music in Westminster for a year-end fundraiser performance t
 hat will help support all three nonprofit organizations.\nThe exhibiti
 on-style performance will be held Friday, May 11 at the University of 
 Colorado Ice Arena in Boulder. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show st
 arts at 6:30 p.m. Ticket holders are encouraged to arrive at 5:30 due 
 to traffic congestion and parking availability in Boulder. \nThe show
  will feature top U.S. skaters Jordan Moeller and Ben Jalovick, wil
 l include other up-and-coming skaters from both skating organizations.
  Kori Ade and Stephen Chasman, the coaches of several of these fine at
 hletes, are working closely with the musicians of Intermezzo to refine
  the programs and musical nuances.\n“Arranging and teaching the musi
 c has been one of the most fun challenges I’ve ever tackled,” says
  Linda Bolander, Executive Director of Intermezzo and the show’s co-
 director. “As an adult skater myself, I understand the little detail
 s that can make or break a program and teaching those aspects of the p
 erformance to non-skating music students has definitely been a welcome
 d break from the norm.”\nCoach Kori Ade has also enjoyed the creatio
 n of something new for musicians and figure skaters. \"The 7k Internat
 ional Skating Academy is proud to team up with the Mountain Edge Skati
 ng Club of Colorado and the Intermezzo Academy of Music to create a me
 morable and magical evening of combining music, artistry and athletici

 oter, says that this is a great starting point but he will build it fu
 rther every year. “We hope to have bigger and better venues and new

 o include skaters from the local north suburbs, like C.U. Boulder stud
 ent Andrew Austin and Westminster’s Alex Rogers, who moved from Sout
 h Dakota to train with coach Cindy Sullivan at The Ice Center at the P
