SUMMARY:Story Songs For 9th to 12th Grade
DESCRIPTION:This Spring BackStory Theatre’s Make Believe and Beyond 
 classes will be exploring the stories that inspired some of our favori
 te songs. Students will choose a song and then create the story that m
 ay have inspired that song. The goal is not to exactly retell the stor
 y from the song but to explore what may have inspired the song. Thereâ
 €™s no limit to what may have inspired these great songs.  Students ma
 y choose to explore the adventures of the little spider that gave us T
 he Itsy Bitsy Spider. Or maybe Old Lady Leary's cow will tell her stor
 y. Perhaps we will see Major Tom’s Space Oddity or how Johnny won wh
 en The Devil Went Down to Georgia.  During the class, students will ch
 oose what character they want to be; work with the other members of th
 e class to write the script; and rehearse their play. The class will c
 onclude with a performance of the show they created.  Class Schedule T
