Elder Construction ant icipates a 7 month construction timeline.\nThe Art Underground’s new Lafayette Arts Hub location will provide dance, theater, film and vis ual arts programming for all ages.  The Arts Hub facility will be bui lt on a 1.4+ acre lot that will provide opportunities for outdoor amen ities to be added as funding allows.  The property opens up the possi bility for hosting festivals and for complimentary grounds development .\nThe City of Lafayette and the Art Underground both embrace and prom ote community, nonprofits and the arts. The Art Underground will conti nue to maintain its current programming, while developing new adult ar ts offerings, programs that specifically target at-risk community memb ers, and other programs aimed at following new, artistically creative pursuits. Lafayette has already established a strong “arts engine.
