SUMMARY:Waking the Dreamer Within Festival
DESCRIPTION:WAKING THE DREAMER WITHIN FESTIVAL -- A CELEBRATION OF CRE
 ATIVITY\n \n                The 2nd annual Waking the
Dreamer Within Festival, an inspirational weekend fostering creativity
and authentic expression, will be held from Thursday, October 16th to
Sunday, October 19th at the Springhill Suites in Longmont.\n
Organized by Boulder dream worker Billie Ortiz,
the festival will offer workshops emphasizing self-expression in dream

 n                The festival marks Ortiz’s 11th anni
versary hosting weekend dream retreats with internationally known teac

ival is to honor the part of us that’s always there to be awakened t
o imagination,” Ortiz said. “Many of the festival’s workshop lea
ders and performers developed their talents as a result of exploring t
heir dreams at our retreats. The festival is my way of showcasing thes
 e talents.”\n                Thursday night’s openi
ng event is “Connecting with the Other Side,” gallery readings by
 renowned medium Sarina Baptista.\n                This
year’s keynote address on Friday night, “Dreams, Metaphors and Sto
ries,” will be given by Mary Elizabeth Marlow, an international spea
ker and seminar leader, transpersonal teacher, storyteller, ritualist
and intuitive counselor.\n                A dance party
is scheduled for Saturday night with “Star Edwards and KingBeat,”
offering World Harp Rock, exploring Celtic and world music.\n
The festival closes on Sunday with a special ev
ent, a large dream circle facilitated by Jeremy Taylor and Billie Orti
z.\n                  Some highlights of the festival
s participatory breakout sessions include “Introduction to Archety
