  Leslie Wright, Zonta International's Representative to the UN.  She 
 will be the guest of honor at a reception that will focus on NGO parti
 cipation in the formation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, 
 (with particular attention on how major women’s groups worked togeth
 er in the development of portions of the accord) and on what the futur
 e holds for an agreement of this nature.   It is a ‘behind-the-sce
 nes’ look at how the UN works!\n \n\nMs. Wright has played a wide 
 range of important roles in international human rights and the status
  of women. Currently, as chair of the International Committee of Zont
 a International’s UN Committee, she coordinates the efforts of the
  teams of volunteers active with the UN, Unicef, UNFPA, ILO, and 
 UNHCHR in New York, Geneva and Vienna, and with Unesco in Paris.\nS
 he collaborates with Zonta’s representatives at the Council of Euro
 pe and with the Chairman of the Zonta International Advocacy Committee
 . Zonta is active in the International Governmental Negotiations for
  Agenda 2030 and the SDGs that will replace the 2000–2015 Millen
