Lafayette, Colorado – WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) today announced upcoming events and programs at the Museum for the month of April. Unless otherwise noted, all listed events and programs are included with Museum admission.
Birds! – Tuesday, April 9
Join our friends from Boulder County Parks and Open Space as they present everything you could want to know about local birds! Participate in fun hands-on activities, learn bird watching tips, and compare your wingspan to some amazing birds. Bird program is included with Museum admission. Littlest Learners Class – Tuesday, April 9 and Wednesday, April 17
Littlest Learners is a series of hands-on classes for infants and toddlers (ages 0-3 years) and their caregivers to explore fine motor, gross motor, and cognitive experiences. Have you ever seen your child stack boxes, rocks, or sticks? That’s engineering! In this class, we'll offer a safe, hands-on construction and building site. Let’s get on our hard hats and get to work! Littlest Learners classes are always included with Museum admission.
Books and Big Ideas with Grey Havens Philosophy – Thursday, April 11 and Thursday, April 25
Join us for stories, activities, and fun designed to teach children to be curious about the world and practice critical and creative thinking! Kelly Cowling of Grey Havens Philosophy uses the time-tested Philosophy for Children method that has been shown for more than five decades to promote positive social, emotional, and cognitive growth! Program is geared for children ages 3-6 years old and their caregivers and is included with Museum admission.
Integral Steps Program – Friday, April 12
High energy, exciting and fun, this program allows children to dance and play through a combination of music, movement, biology, and art! This program is presented by Emma Shubin of Integral Steps and is included with Museum admission.
Día del Niño Celebration – Sunday, April 28
Celebrate Día del Niño at WOW! Children’s Museum! Our community celebration is filled with activities for the whole family honoring the Mexican traditions of “The Day of the Child”. Activities will include a dance performance by El Latir de Mexico, crafts, games, story times in Spanish and English, and more! Admission is FREE to this community event!
