Lafayette, Colorado – WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) today announced upcoming events and programs at the Museum for the month of January. Unless otherwise noted, all listed events and programs are included with Museum admission.
Yoga for Kids – January 4th, January 11th and January 18th
Join us for a fun, encouraging beginner level yoga class for all ages (toddlers too)! In this 30 minute session, you’ll learn basic poses that help to create healthy energy, offer physical challenge and inspire your imagination. No mat necessary, just bring a smile and wear comfortable shorts or pants. Parents are welcome to join too! Included with Museum admission.
Mountain Kids Story Time – Thursday, January 5th
Miss Kristin from Mountain Kids Louisville will host a fun story time with bubbles, short stories and a sing-a-long with shakers. This active and engaging story time will make reading fun for young learners! Included with Museum admission.
Integral Steps Presents Music & Movement – Friday, January 13th
High energy, exciting and fun, this program allows children to dance and play through a combination of music, movement, biology, and art! This music and movement program is presented by Emma Shubin of Integral Steps and is included with Museum admission.
Discovery Days Science Program – Tuesday, January 17th and Wednesday, January 18th
Time: 10:00am-12:00pm each day
Science is for everyone, science is everywhere, and science is fun! WOW!'s Discovery Days program encourages free exploration of different monthly themes through multi-sensory science activities, dramatic role play, relevant math and reading opportunities, and craft projects. This month, we're learning about Colorado weather! Discovery Days activities are included with Museum admission.
Sensory Friendly Playtime – Sunday, January 22nd
Sensory Friendly Playtime is a special Museum event for children with autism spectrum or sensory processing disorders. WOW! will limit admission to 20 families, turn down sounds and lights, and provide adaptive equipment to offer a safe and fun experience for all! Reservations are required and space is limited. Danse Etoile Ballet Story Time – Wednesday, January 25th
Danse Etoile Ballet is delighted to share excerpts read from The Snow Queen, their new story ballet for all ages. "The Snow Queen" is based on Hans Christian Andersen's story of love triumphing over evil as one friend rescues another from the evil Snow Queen. Join us to learn how a story can be told through ballet, including a question & answer time with real ballerinas. This special program is included with Museum admission.
