The Women’s Wilderness Institute to Host Skill-building Clinics Throughout January and February in Boulder, Colorado
Boulder, CO, January 13, 2009-

Attention, all women! It’s a few weeks into January and winter is in full swing. A fun way to spice up your weekends and spend more time playing outside in this beautiful Colorado weather is to take a course with The Womans Wilderness Institute.

At TWWI, you’ll find a new kind of weekend mix. Our course recipe calls for the challenge of a new skill, a unique outdoor setting, the support of an excellent all-female staff, the opportunity to build new friendships with outstanding women just like you and lots and lots of laughter.

Signing up for one of TWWI’s courses is just another great way to finish out January with new confidence and great memories. There is still time to sign up for next weekend’s clinics! Take yourself from snow bunny to snow goddess of the back country with our Snowshoe and Orienteering Skills Clinic January 24th. Want to be able to snowboard with your significant other, friends or kids? Learn the basics in our Snowboard Beginner’s Clinic, January 25th at Eldora Mountain Resort. And if you missed out on our Intro to Telemark Skiing clinic last week join us again on the 31st.

February, the month of love, isn’t too far away. Make a date with a waterfall and sign–up for our exciting Beginner’s Ice Climbing and Intermediate Ice Climbing clinics on February 7. Wish yourself a very happy Valentine’s Day and fall in love with skiing or riding Colorado’s back country on our 2- day Backcountry Skills Ski/Snowboard Weekend in Cameron Pass, February 14-15. It includes one night of staying in a backcountry yurt or cabin.

Also share the love with a special young woman in your life on our fun-filled Daughter-Parent Snowshoe Adventure, February 21. Mentor pairs are welcome as well! Don’t forget that our courses make great gifts! Purchase a gift card online today and give the gift of the outdoors!

To register for this weekend’s Snowshoe and Orienteering Skills Clinic and Snowboard Beginner’s Clinic, or any of our other 50+ courses in backpacking, fly fishing, rock climbing, mountain biking, yoga or creative arts in the outdoor visit our website, www.womenswildernss.org or call us, 303.938.9191. We are happy to answer any questions. We also have outstanding summer courses and trips for girls of all ages. If volunteering was on of your new year’s resolutions we would to have your smiling face as part of our family! Call us today to see how you can get involved.

Finally, don’t forget to join us and over 300 outdoor enthusiasts for a night full of great gear, fantastic food and music all gathered together for a wonderful cause at our yearly fundraiser, Gear and Cheer, at Boulder’s, The Rembrandt Yard, April 23, 2009. See our website for more details.
