Boulder County CareConnect would like to invite you to volunteer at the 3rd annual Senior Law Day, on August 11, 2012 from 8-1 at the Plaza Hotel Conference Center in Longmont.

Senior Law Day brings together accomplished and respected professionals to present informative seminars for seniors, adult children, friends, and caregivers of seniors. The number of older adults in the United States is projected to increase to 71.5 million by 2030, representing nearly 20% of the national population. Consequently there is a growing need, locally and nationally, for specialized legal advice about aging-related issues.

This state-wide series will hold separate events in Denver County, Boulder County, Jefferson County, Larimer County, and Northwest Colorado. Senior Law Day is Colorado’s only conference dedicated to providing legal information specifically for our senior population. Seminars will cover critical topics such as long-term care insurance, reverse mortgages, fiduciaries, financial safety when considering caregivers, and much more.

Volunteers are needed on August 11, 2012 to set up and clean up, do check-in and registration, and serve as room hosts, monitors, and parking support. This is an excellent opportunity to help address the needs of seniors, and their caregivers, and to spend time with others who care about supporting our community. If you would like to help, please call Mary Wilson at Boulder County CareConnect: 303-443-1933 x408 or email marywilson@careconnectbc.org.
