WOW! Children's Museum Awarded $30,000 Grant from Buell Foundation

Lafayette, Colorado – WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) is pleased to announce that the Museum has received a $30,000 grant from the Buell Foundation.  This generous grant will support the growth of WOW!’s Play for All membership program, expanding access to the Museum to all families in our community.  As an important component of WOW!’s broader Play for All Initiative, the Play for All membership program is designed to support families in need by providing an annual family membership to the Museum for $10.  Any family receiving food assistance, Medicaid, WIC, Head Start or assistance from a social service organization qualify for a Play for All membership.  In 2018, the Play for All membership program provided the gift of play to over 600 families.  This grant from the Buell Foundation will allow the Museum to serve even more children and families in need in Boulder County.

“We believe in the power of play and that all children deserve a quality Museum experience regardless of a child’s ability or background.  We want all young children to have the opportunity to engage in WOW!’s unique hands-on learning experiences and learn the skills they will need to succeed in school and beyond,” said Darcy Morel, Interim Executive Director.  “Our Play for All membership program is made possible through the generous support of community donors.  We thank the Buell Foundation for awarding WOW! this grant and for their continued dedication to the children of Colorado.”
