The contribution was made possible by Advance America, the nation’s
largest provider of cash advance services. “For over 100 years the Urban League has worked to foster economic strength and prosperity within the African American community,” said Urban League President and CEO Landri Taylor. “The Urban League of Metro Denver is beginning anew in pursuit of that mission, and this contribution from Advance America means a great deal to our success.” Green, former wide receiver and two‐time Super Bowl Champ with the Broncos during the 1997‐98 winning seasons, is Director of Corporate Development and Community Outreach for Advance America. As part of the company’s established commitment to community building, Green has spearheaded financial support of charitable programs around the country. But the contribution to the Urban League of Metro Denver in the city that gave him the ultimate prize in professional football is special. “I love Denver and the people of this town were incredibly supportive of me when I played football here,” said Green. “Advance America is pleased to support such a worthwhile cause and an organization that is vital to the city’s well‐being.” The Urban League of Metro Denver epitomizes the focus of Advance America’s national community outreach program. The emphasis is on strengthening the fabric of communities the company serves. The Urban League’s longstanding history of helping to create opportunities for African Americans in the Metro Denver community is one Advance America believes must be continued. The $10,000 contribution will go toward the President’s Circle Advisory Group, assembled by Taylor to help provide counsel on how best to ensure a lasting future for the Urban League. Advance America is the country’s leading provider of cash advance services, with approximately 2,650 centers nationwide and 68 centers in Colorado. More information on the Company is available at
