what settings are you using? I am a budding photographer and I would love any help. I shot with a Nikon DSLR 5300. I have two lenses 33-500 and 18-400. I have other lens for panoramic and up close. 18-24. But I would love any help. What time of day did you see this bird?

Hi Emily,  I have a  Panasonic Lumix F 2.8, a very simple bridge camera.  This photo was taken facing south,  just before noon in P mode, 1/640 sec. f/4 108mm, well within the range of your lenses. Willem
