Cottage Foods and Fresh Produce Sales are now allowed in the City of Boulder

On April 21, 2015, the City of Boulder enacted an ordinance allowing the sale of Fresh Produce and Cottage Foods from residences in the City of Boulder.  People who are interested in learning more about the rules for these sales should read the City’s Guide for Cottage Foods and Fresh Produce Sales, which can be found at this link:  https://www-static.bouldercolorado.gov/docs/Guide_BAP_Tips_Boulder_...

This Guide lives on the “Sales Tax” and “Local Foods” pages of the City’s website.  Producers who wish to sell Cottage Foods or Fresh Produce from their residences must apply for a sales tax license (a one-time $25 fee) and comply with applicable City and State rules regarding fresh produce and cottage foods production.

Consider growing enough produce to sell some. 
Get those bees and chickens working!
Look for the canning jars you put away so long ago.
Apply for your sales tax license, and start selling your home grown product!
