Spectra Logic hosts 6th annual 'Bring Your Child to Work Day'

Boulder, Colo.-based Spectra Logic Corporation is hosting its sixth annual Bring Your Child to Work Day 2017 today, April 27, at its worldwide headquarters on Lookout Road in Gunbarrel.

More than 80 children who reside in Boulder and Broomfield counties, ages 2-16, will spend the day learning about data storage and archive products, and business, at Spectra Logic today. The agenda includes registration where kids will receive their own “work badges”; breakfast; a building tour; attending a “trade-show” with booths representing the work of several departments; a kid-friendly lunch provided by Spectra’s onsite cafeteria; contests; and an end-of-day celebration.

The annual event is timed to coincide with National Bring Your Kid to Work Day, and is hosted by Spectra Logic’s Summit Group, a Women’s Leadership Group comprised of employee volunteers.

Spectra Logic’s Boulder-based worldwide headquarters is home to the company’s product development, engineering and customer support departments, and is the site of its manufacturing plant for all products.

Spectra Logic was founded by today’s CEO Nathan Thompson in 1979 while enrolled as a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Learn more at www.spectralogic.com.
