Lafayette, Colorado – WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) is pleased to announce that the Museum is hosting a weeklong Kids Give Back event from November 16 to November 22. As a community supported non-profit organization and informal leader in early childhood education in Boulder County, WOW! Children’s Museum is delighted to highlight opportunities for family philanthropy during Kids Give Back Week.

Kids Give Back Week will be hosted at the Museum from November 16 to November 22 and is an opportunity for children and families to play, learn, imagine, and give!

All week long children and families can visit WOW! to:

  1. Participate in a variety of hands-on giving activities:
    • Writing letters of appreciation to the Lafayette Police Department
    • Making dog and cat toys for the Boulder Humane Society
    • Playing the How Kids Can Give game
  2. Bring donations for our community partners:
  3. Learn about family volunteer opportunities from our partners:
    • Blue Federal Credit Union
    • Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary

“Did you know that participating in charitable events and philanthropy increases your child’s social skills, such as empathy, kindness, and understanding? Well, it does, and it helps build a foundation for life-long community connections! In fact, the sooner you begin sharing the powerful concept of charity with your children, the longer lasting the effects are for your child,” said Gini Philipp, Director of Early Childhood Education, WOW! Children’s Museum.

As a bonus, all visitors who bring in a donated item for one of our community partners will receive a Buy 1 Get 1 Free admission coupon. Please check our calendar for specific dates and times to visit with partner organizations.

Event participants are subject to change.
