About Me (optional):
Kassia Binkowski is a maternal and child health professional with experience across Latin America and Africa. She has contributed to communications, programming, and development efforts for nonprofit organizations working around the world. She has designed projects in Malawi, lived with orphans in Tanzania, studied with traditional healers in Ecuador, led fundraising efforts for Uganda programs, worked in urban clinics in the United States, and researched maternal behavior in Guatemala. Each has enriched her understanding of the complex choices facing mothers in resource constrained settings, and led her to work creatively towards promoting health in these communities. Kassia has a Mater’s of Public Health from the University of Washington is pursuing a Doctorate of Public Health from the Colorado School of Public Health. She currently works as the Director of Development and Communications for Reading Village (www.readingvillage.org).
