State Representative Dianne Primavera (D-Broomfield) hosted over 300 job-seekers and two dozen companies at a Job Fair at Sill-TerHar Motors in Broomfield on Friday evening. The Job Fair was held outside from 6 PM to 8 PM on the showroom patio.

Dianne said, "I’m so happy to welcome everyone to Broomfield, to have a community partner like Sill-TerHar, and to have helped some constituents find work."

Participants enjoyed meeting a wide range of employers who were actually hiring – a fact that set this Job Fair apart from others, they said. Companies included NREL, Charles Schwab, Comcast, Safeway, Circle K, Colorado State Patrol, Rivet Software, MetLife and Macy’s.

Several employers said they had found high-quality, qualified candidates, and many had made appointments for interviews.

A software company recruiter reported back: “We hired three people from the recent job fairs and interviewed several others. Great events, great applicants!”

It’s encouraging that so many businesses, large and small, are hiring in this area,” Dianne said. “We are getting Broomfield-area folks back to work with good-paying jobs.”

A young writer named Matt P. was looking for a job in communications: “I learned about some companies I wouldn’t have considered before and I feel optimistic that the right job is out there. I’m glad the Democrats put this together; it was very helpful.”

Many participants also enjoyed the outdoor event for other reasons like the lovely warm evening and a chance to chat with their state legislator.
