Boulder Cup Cyclocross Event

BOULDER, Colo. — Elite cyclists from across the U.S. will descend on Boulder this weekend as the Boulder Cup makes a long awaited return to Valmont Bike Park, November 15–16. The event is UCI-sanctioned, making it the premier cyclocross race in the western United States and a highlight stop on both the Colorado Cross Cup (Race #11) and the USA Cycling National Series (Stop #12).

Fans can expect thrilling racing on the legendary 2014 Nationals course, featuring Valmont’s signature steep climbs, off-camber turns, and dramatic run-ups.

“Valmont is one of the most beautiful and challenging cyclocross venues anywhere,” said Race Director Pete Webber. “We’re excited to bring international racing back to Boulder.” 

Hosted by Boulder Junior Cycling (BJC), the Boulder Cup spotlights Boulder’s proud cyclocross legacy and the local talent shaping the sport’s future. Few places in the U.S. have produced more champions—or more passion—for cyclocross than Boulder County.

The weekend promises high-intensity racing and festival energy, all free to the public. Spectators can enjoy food trucks, music, and a front-row view of world-class competition on one of the nation’s most iconic courses. Racing begins each morning with amateur fields before the pros take center stage: elite women at 2:00 p.m. and elite men at 3:00 p.m., both Saturday and Sunday.
